Students Meals

Pursuant to the provisions of P.D. no 387/1983 (Government Gazette no 141/1983, Bulletin Α) free meals are offered to students on the basis of their personal and family financial status and according to the requirements and limitations set by articles 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 of the aforementioned Presidential Decree.
In order to obtain the Special Meals Card, the interested student must file the following supporting documents upon the enrolment:
a. A photocopy of his/her parents’ or his/hers last income tax clearance certificate or a photocopy of his/her parents’ or his/hers more recent income tax return.
In case the interested persons are not obliged to file an income tax return, a relevant certificate of the competent Income Tax Office must be produced.
b. A statement reporting the student’s family status (the relevant form is provided by the Departments’ Secretariats upon the enrolment).
The meals are offered in the University Restaurant to students that have obtained the Special Meals Card throughout the week, from the 1st of October until the 30th of June of the next calendar year, with the exception of Christmas and Easter holidays. A resolution of the University’s Board of Trustees is required in order for the students’ restaurant to open earlier or to remain open for a longer period of time.
